My estate sales liquidation services started in 2010 in Culver City, however my experience started decades before that.

I became fascinated with a wide range of antiques & collectibles while growing up in New England. Since the mid 1990's, I have owned several antique stores in the Boston area and Los Angeles.

On my quest for knowledge, I found myself attending Estate Sales on a regular basis where I could find treasures that most, including the estate sale companies did not have the experience or knowledge to identify as such, to the tune of upwards of a couple thousand dollars on a single item. This lead to the realization of, "Good for me, (but NOT good for their client"). It was during this time that I realized I could do a much better job liquidating estates than any of these estate sale companies!

I am an expert in antique silver and can identify and appraise silver from all over the world, including antique French silver which uses the most complex hallmarking system in the world, as well as the spectacular works by Russian Imperial silversmiths in Moscow and St Petersburg. Over the past 20 plus years, I have developed a passion for jewelry & watches including antique pocket watches and I am a long time member of the NAWCC.

My wife Elena, whom our customers absolutely adore, (more than me) lol, speaks fluent Russian and Ukraine. With her decades of managerial experience, she is in charge of organizing and preparing the entire estate which is the cornerstone of Melrose Treasures and you will find her at every sale.
